Moving Out!

June 22nd, 2008 by Mykal

Don’t get me wrong, living with roommates is awesome:

Roommate revenge!

But a house can get quite messy with more than three guys living in the same house:

Not Kidding!

Yeah, sick I know!  I honestly don’t use the kitchen though, I always eat out.  So what kind of place can beat this?

Anything! My own place, that’s what.  I move in here on the 28th:

But I noticed it takes quite a bit of work and money:

  1. Pack
  2. Move everything to the new place.
  3. Get Internet
  4. Get Gas
  5. Get water
  6. Get electricity
  7. Buy a new couch
  8. Buy a new tv
  9. Buy a new refridgerator
  10. Buy a new desk

The couch I have in mind is the movie lounger from Love Sac.

Looks very big and kick ass for sitting on when play my xbox 360 for a while.  Not sure on what type of tv is good nowadays with all the HD 1080p whatchama-call-its out there.  I’m just happy I will be able to play my games again.  Games nowadays expect a high resolution HD-TV which makes it impossible for me to read the text of my mission on a low resolution tv.

I will finally be upgrading from a matress on the ground twin-size to a queen size with an actual frame!  Oh boy, making more money rocks.

Trying This Again…

June 21st, 2008 by Mykal

Hello everyone! Going to try this blogging thing again that I seem to slip out of every time because of having no time. I have a weekend to myself while the girl is out and lots of time to spare so what better way to waste time BLOGGING.

I’m now working at the web hosting company Dreamhost.com as a developer and love it.

The people are great:

That be one of them.

The Money is great:

Style...all about a cramped hummer limo style!

The Catering every Friday is awesome:

And last but not least, the company motto:

But believe me, it’s not all fun and games:

I spent about an hour a day doing this. This photo was by Jason Cosper (boogah)

I spend seven hours and thirty minutes staring at something awful forums nothing but code in hopes clean up our system one day at a time and produce two-three new features every month. We mainly code in perl, but there are some areas that are in PHP. I have been with the company for 1.5 years and shall continue the awesomeness and have a taco.
